Our Human Design API computes the full bodygraph from birth data — Type, Strategy, Authority, Profile, Definition, Incarnation Cross, all 9 centers, 36 channels, 64 gates, and planetary activations for both personality and design layers.
Standard birth details: day, month, year, hour, minute (second optional, defaults to 0), latitude, longitude, and timezone_offset. Optional fields include name, gender, and design_calc_mode (precise or approx).
Precise mode calculates the exact moment the Sun was 88° earlier in its ecliptic path before birth. Approx mode uses a simplified estimate (~88 days before birth). Precise is recommended for production-quality charts.
Chart Data returns render-ready structure with center and channel layout hints plus gate ownership details so you can build your own bodygraph interface from API output.
We currently provide two interpretation endpoints: /chart-interpretation and /traits-interpretation. Both return human-readable sections in English.
Yes. The /chart-data endpoint returns render_hints with coordinate_space, supported layers (personality, design), and center x/y positions. Channel and gate data includes state information for coloring (full, partial, inactive).
Invalid or out-of-range input returns HTTP 400 with field_errors identifying the offending field, an error code, and a human-readable message. Authentication failures return 401.
